Nothing heals the mind and soul like being surrounded by greenery and being able to breathe in some fresh air. And while living in big cities has its pros, the main con is not having access to natural surroundings. Well, this is one of the main reasons why people who live in big cities (and are lucky enough to live in a house) put so much effort into creating a beautiful outdoor area.

One of the most important aspects of creating a dreamy outdoor space is choosing the right outdoor dining set. Fortunately these days, there’s a large selection of breathtaking outdoor dining sets that have the power to make your outdoor space more appealing and cosy at the same time.

Out of all the things you need to consider, one of the greatest imperatives is to choose an outdoor dining set that will match the surrounding area aesthetics wise. The material from which these furniture pieces are made is another important aspect, closely related to how long the furniture pieces will last. Luckily, there’s a way to feed two needs with one deed and that’s by choosing a dining set or separate outdoor tables and dining chairs made of wood. Wooden pieces of furniture never look out of place in an outdoor area as it’s a natural material and generally speaking, wood is considered a strong material. However, there’s nuance and different levels of strength and teak seems to be in the lead regarding this aspect.

Teak Outdoor Dining Set

In the light of that fact, it doesn’t come as a surprise that teak is the most commonly used material for contemporary designed outdoor spaces. Dining outdoor tables made of teak in a combination with stainless steel frames are the most sought-after models as they are extremely sturdy and can withstand the exposure to the harsh Australian weather conditions and still retain their beauty.

When it comes to size, if you are a person who wants to have a lot of people over on a regular basis, make sure you choose a bigger outdoor dining table in order to have enough seating to accommodate all of your guests. Two, three, or four-person dining table sets are just some of the main options you can choose from, but if you plan to throw lots of parties (big ones), make sure you include extra seating options, like benches or more chairs.

Finally, in case you want to be a little different and experiment, Australian exterior designers say that being braver and not following the rules can bring you a satisfactory outcome. This means that, if your space and budget allow it, instead of choosing one dining set, you can also opt for some fancy outdoor side tables that you can place next to the outdoor sofa which is great for throwing larger parties.
